The waterways in the harbor are home to thousands of yachts, apartments and other buildings. Paddlers in Marina del Rey can paddle past Fisherman's Village, a colorful assortment of shops and restaurants along the water.

Marina del Rey is home to many great fishing spots. Anglers here can catch spotted bay bass, calico bass, sand bass, as well as barracudas. Casting past docks and pilings in the harbor can be very productive for bass and halibut. For the more daring and physically capable, fishing the breakwall at the exit of the harbor will yield larger fish. Exercise caution here though as winds and swells can pick up in the afternoon.
