Santa Cruz Island to Anacapa Trip After setting up our car shuttle, we'll take a motor boat to the north coast of Santa Cruz Island. We'll paddle with the wind and swell across Chinese Harbor, tour the soaring cliffs of Cavern Point, and finally land in Scorpion Bay to camp for two nights. As the miles glide by, watch for sea lions, dolphins and harbor seals in the water and Peregrine falcons and eagles on the wing. On day two we'll explore more coastline and sea caves with hiking and snorkeling as options. On day three we'll paddle to the east end of the island and historic Smugglers Cove. From there we'll make the 4+ mile crossing to Anacapa Island for more sea caves, a rocky coastline and our motor boat ride back home. If you have the right skills and lots of endurance, this trip is a perfect step up in excitement and challenge. Click here for a more in-depth look at this trip!
