Colorado River Guided Trips

Colorado River

Colorado River Campout - Topock On Saturday we'll push off for an all day, 17 mile, down-river, calm-water paddle through Topock Gorge with its rock spires, towering cliffs, petroglyphs, wildlife and sand dunes. Then, on Sunday we'll paddle through the cattails, rushes and eerie groves of flooded mesquite trees to view the abundant bird life of the marsh in Havasu National Wildlife Refuge. We'll camp in a park with hot showers and enjoy a pot-luck dinner Saturday night. This delightful trip is wonderful for first time paddlers with lots of energy for a full day of paddling. Experienced paddlers also enjoy exploring along both sides of the Colorado river as it meanders through the pristine desert. River trips start at the California border about five hours from the L.A. and Orange County area.

Canyons of the Colorado River Spend three delightful days paddling the scenic, meandering shoreline of the Colorado River and Lake Mojave. Soaring cliffs, birds and wide-open desert vistas abound on this rarely kayaked shoreline. Plenty of time to hike the canyons and fish in small coves. We'll travel about 35 miles and make self-supported, rustic camps along the way. Energetic paddlers with First Strokes level skills are welcome. A great return-to-the-river for those who have joined us on other sections of this mighty river - and a fine first kayak camping experience tin preparation for longer trips.
