1. When you turn onto Bayside Drive from Pacific Coast Highway, look for the "Southwind Kayak Rentals" sign on Bayside Drive across the street from Chevron:
2. Immediately turn left into the parking lot after the sign above (Bayside Village Marina)
3. Drive all the way through until you find us under the bridge
Is parking free?
Yes. You may park for free under the bridge.
Do we need to make reservations?
No. All rentals are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept all major credit cards.
I’ve never kayaked before! Can I do this?
Of course! Kayaking is a fun activity for all age groups and fitness levels. Our staff is happy to give you a quick run-through before you begin.
What should I bring?
Sunscreen, sandals, light clothing, sunglasses and hats—what you’d typically bring to the beach. We provide all the rest.
Is there an age requirement?
Paddlers going alone on single kayaks or paddle boards must be 13 or older. Children, infants, and even pets may be accompanied by adults on kayaks or paddle boards.
